As an evolution, of iMedia Marketing Group, Rashid Bahati founded the boutique advertising and marketing firm that would become Oliver & Bahati Agency based in Beverly Hills, California USA. Starting with no clients and a staff of two, Rashid and partners have built the firm providing advertising/marketing, packaging, project management, and curation for independent African Diaspora film festivals and creative talent. Today OB Agency has transitioned into Plan/B/Agency a digital media and hybrid-marketing firm that leverages its expertise and relationships in film and the cultural arts to create meaningful consumer experiences for its clients. Plan/B/Agency relationships and clients include; Sony Home Video, HBO, Hollywood Reporter, The Black Family Channel, to name a few.
Rashid and partners strive to have a different kind of firm one that is culturally conscious and pays attention to detail. Our founder chief strategist and visionary leader, Rashid Bahati, has twenty-plus years in media and advertising/marketing. He has served as the founding board of director of the Downtown Film Festival Los Angeles and the curator of several African Diaspora film festivals including the Hamptons Black Film Festival, and Nashville International Black Film Festival. He is also a co-founder of the Global Cinema and Urban Music Initiative that provided symposiums and knowledge exchange programs for African Diaspora markets globally including Cannes, France, Salvadora Bahia, Brazil, Burkino Faso, West Africa, and Berlin, Germany.
